Amanda Edgar is an Senior Lecturer, practicing radiation therapist and practicing optometrist. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations), Masters of Optometry, and Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Amanda is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Associate Fellow of Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators. With her cross-professional experience as a healthcare practitioner Amanda has a teaching research interest in simulation based-education, digital learning and inclusive education. Her innovative work has earnt recognition through awards and international invited presentations. Amanda’s teaching research additionally seeks to evaluate authentic assessment and teaching tools that support self-regulated learning, contextulisation of learning, encourage flexible thinking and provide adaptable platforms for collaborative global education.
