Andy began his academic career at the depart. of general practice in Birmingham, UK. Moved to NZ in 2001 to set up a clinical skills centre for the University of Auckland. His educational interests are in clinical skills, professionalism, curriculum, assessment/selection and educational theory. He was Deputy and then Head of the Medical Programme from 2016-2022. He has an eclectic mix of publications in health professional education and primary care. He is an Associate Editor for Focus on Health Professional Education (FoHPE), and sits on several other boards
