Claire is the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning, Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences, an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD), Fellow of the Dietitians Association of Australia and Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food, with research interests in the education of the future workforce. Claire is the chair of the Australian Dietetics Council the regulatory arm of the association responsible for accreditation of dietetics program and recognition of overseas training. Claire has been awarded an Australian national teaching citation (2016) and teaching excellence award (2017) and a national office for learning and teaching fellowship (2014). Claire has forged a research career in competency-based assessment and workforce development, with a particular focus on preparing the health workforce for addressing the determinants of health.
