David Prideaux is an educator by backgound and is an Emeritus Professor of Medical Education at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia. He has held the position of Director and Chair of the Assessment Committee of the Australian Medical Council (AMC). In that role he was responsible for the oversight of the assessment of International Medical Graduates (IMGs) for practice in Australia. The AMC is currently undertaking a complete review of the existing clinical examination component of its IMG assessment processes.
