Diantha Soemantri

Professional Bio

Diantha Soemantri is an associate professor in medical education in the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. She graduated as a medical doctor from Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia in 2005, acquired Master of Medical Education title from the University of Dundee in 2007 and PhD in the same field from University of Melbourne in 2013. She is now the head of Master in Medical Education Program in Universitas Indonesia and also responsible for the multi- and interprofessional education of Health Sciences Cluster in Universitas Indonesia. Since 2018, she is appointed as the vice director of medical education of the Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI), Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. Her research interests are student assessment, reflection and feedback, interprofessional education and collaborative practice, and professionalism development. She has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and actively serves as a peer reviewer for various high-impact journals and an associate editor for Frontiers in Medicine journal. She has served as speakers in international conferences on medical education and also actively delivers workshop in her areas of expertise. Diantha was a receiver of the AMEE Grant for Medical Educators working in Resource Constrained Settings (MERCS grant) for her project in the development of e-portfolio in undergraduate medicine. She has also received several other research grants throughout her 14 years of career in medical education.
