Douglas is a passionate health professional educator. Doug holds dual qualifications in nursing and osteopathy, and has clinical experience from both the private and public health sectors. Since 2015, Doug has worked as a Lecturer in Osteopathy at Victoria University. In this time, he has contributed to the successful implementation of two accredited osteopathy programs. His current teaching roles relate to the biomedical sciences, the management of special populations, and preparing students for the transition to professional practice. From a research perspective, Doug is particularly interested in how the principles of cognitive psychology can be used to shape the learning experiences of his students. Doug loves to explore innovative teaching and assessment strategies – especially those that prioritise clinical reasoning and communication.
