Dr Eugene Wong is a GP (FRACGP and FACRRM) rural doctor with credentials in Anaesthesia and Retrieval Medicine. He has predominantly lived and worked rurally and remotely and within Queensland has worked in the Torres Strait (Thursday Island), Cape York communities and North West Queensland (with RFDS), Central Queensland (Emerald) and Central West Queensland (Longreach). He has held various education roles throughout his career and has a heart for junior doctors and doctors in training. Currently, Eugene is the Director of Medical Services at a regional Queensland hospital and Lead Assessor for the StAMPS exam at the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
