Dr. Murphy obtained his MD from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his residency in radiation oncology, and MS in Epidemiology at Stanford University. Dr. Murphy joined the faculty at UC San Diego School of Medicine in 2012 and is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences. He has held numerous roles in education and currently serves as the Associate Dean for Assessment, Evaluation and Educational Informatics.
