Jane works in the role of Educator for Advanced Paediatric Life Support Australia. The experience and education that Jane draws on for this role includes critical care nursing, Postgrad Diploma in Adult Education, a diversion of 2 ½ years working in HR at a tertiary hospital, and finally a Masters in Program Evaluation. Assessment continues to be a fraught issue in APLS, as it is in other educational institutions. As part of her Masters, Jane led a research project looking at validating the use of an alternative form of written assessment (the Script Concordance Test).
