Professional Bio
Janna Lutze is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 10 years of experience in clinical, foodservice, research, and education settings. She joined the Nutrition & Dietetics team at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in 2018 as lecturer and professional placement coordinator where she draws on her postgraduate qualifications in clinical education to support student dietitians throughout their work integrated learning programs. She simultaneously held a senior dietitian (clinical educator) role at Canberra Health Services training hundreds of student dietitians, allied health assistants, and dietetic supervisors in practice prior to taking up a full-time position at UOW in 2022. She has supervised professional practice and research placement students from various accredited dietetics programs and has and particular interest in programmatic assessment, authentic learning experiences, interprofessional education, and student wellbeing during work integrated learning experiences. She has enjoyed sharing her experience and learnings from research and practice at local supervisor education workshops, and on the national stage including at the Australia New Zealand Health Professional Education, National Allied Health, and Dietitians Australia conferences in recent years.
