Julia Harrison is an Emergency Physician and Monash University academic in the Monash Medical School. Julia is the Deputy Head of the course and also leads the Patient Safety and Preparation for Practice Unit for final year medical students. Julia has received national recognition for her work in medical education with an ALTC Teaching Excellence Award and a national Citation Award for her work in patient safety education. Julia is currently doing a PhD looking into how we can best prepare graduate doctors to cope when they contribute to medical error. Julia has worked in medical education for over 25 years and has broad interests and experience in the field.
