Margaret Schnitzler is a colorectal surgeon at Royal North Shore Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Sydney. She completed a PhD on the molecular genetics of colorectal cancer. She is an education-focused academic whose current roles include Co-Deputy Head of the Sydney Medical School, Head of the Northern Clinical School and Academic Director (Medicine/Dentistry) in the Northern Sydney Precinct. She is the Chair of the Sydney Medical School professionalism committee and a Hearing member for the NSW Medical Council.
