I am a senior lecturer in medical education research at the University of Keele in the United Kingdom, and a consultant in acute and respiratory medicine. My research focuses on assessors' cognition and technology-enhanced assessment methods, including research on VESCA and Video-based Benchmarking to equate and calibrate OSCE examiners. I am PI for the AD-Equiv study, a multi-centre complex intervention trial which aims to increase the authenticity, diagnosticity and equivalence of OSCEs when distributed over large geographical areas. I'm interested in increasing examiner equivalence in national performance exams.
