I am an Associate Professor in Medical Educaiton and Empathic Healthcare working at the Stoneygate Centre for Empathic Healthcare at Leicester Medical School. I am also an consultant in old age psychiatry with an interest in liaison psychiatry and dementia care. In my academic role, I have worked with Leicester Medical School since 2017 as module convenor on the highly successful and innovative 'year 0' foundation programme for students from a widening participation background. My role was to develop, deliver and evaluate an empathy-focused curriculum for students.
