Professional Bio
Rahizan Zainuldin is an Associate Professor at Health and Social Sciences Cluster, Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). He is a physiotherapist by training and obtained his PhD with the University of Sydney. Joining SIT in 2015, together with a small group of allied health faculty, Rahizan co-developed the clinical practice education (CPE) framework for undergraduate allied health students in the Cluster. He also led the CPE curriculum for the undergraduate physiotherapy program and designed the competency assessment tool for the CPE. Through his role as Chairperson of undergraduate CPE, he contributed to the development of and led the implementation of Entrustable Professional Activities with the physiotherapy CPE, as part of the Singapore Ministry of Health's initiative to review healthcare professions' training standards n 2020. Rahizan's interest is in finding and designing assessments or systems of assessments in CPE that can accurately signpost undergraduate students of the performance level achieved and transit into new entry-level practitioners as being work-ready.
