Rania Zaini Biography Rania Ghazi Zaini, PhD, is assistant professor of Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, Umm AlQura University (UQU). Rania was formally the Vice-Dean eLearning and Distance Education, and the founder of the department of Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, UQU. She has a great contribution in transforming UQU MBBS program to a contemporary, world-class, and integrated MBBS curriculum that produces distinctive UQU Doctor with the strategic alliance with the Medical school of the University College of London (UCL). She also an active member of the Saudi MEDs Taskforce, that developed and validate the the Saudi Medical Education Directives Framework. Zaini had a long interest in curriculum development and evaluation, quality assurance in medical education, elearning, and assessment. She worked in number of initiatives and consultation projects especially in educational technology and development for many governmental and nongovernmental institutes. Dr Zaini, elected for the Board of the Saudi Society for Medical Education (SSME) between 2018-2022. She also was the Chair of the Western Region Office, the Saudi Society for Medical Education
