Former Professor and Director at the Centre for International Affairs, The Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo. MA in English from the University of Toronto. Her research interests include undergraduate and postgraduate education and faculty development in fostering humanistic aspects of medicine through case studies. She is working with English-speaking simulated patients in Japan to enhance healthcare professionals’ cross-cultural communication skills.
