Thao Vu is the Senior Educational Designer in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University. Thao completed her PhD in Education at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Thao has developed and executed a range of innovative and collaborative educational design initiatives that have resulted in award-winning outcomes in learning, teaching and assessment quality, student experience, and student retention. She is also an active education researcher, currently leading projects in assessments, professional development for academics, and pharmacy education. Thao's work is principally driven by her endeavour to empower educators, students and staff as members of communities. She's passionate about strengthening the common purposes pursued by these communities, developing people's capacity and connection, and creating platforms, processes and tools that staff and students can use to learn, collaborate, share, connect, empower themselves and others, which leads to better outcomes and experiences for both individuals and the communities they are part of.
