Dr Van Nguyen is an Early Career Researcher and Lecturer at Monash University, School of Nursing and Midwifery. With a background in nursing, Van has a strong interest in nursing education, educator confidence and competence, professional identity development, and research focussing on capacity building for not only nursing but also health workforce. Van is also the author of the Clinical Nurse Educator Skill Acquisition Assessment (CNESAA) tool that was awarded Excellence in Educational Research by Sigma Theta Tau International in 2015. The tool attracted a number of expressions of interest and is currently used in several doctoral research projects as well as a teaching material for preparation of clinical nurse educators at postgraduate level.
